Introduction
Zora (Twitter: https://twitter.com/ourZORA) is a NFT minting and trading platform. They recently launched their own dedicated Layer 2 blockchain called Zora Network, built on the OP Stack.
Zora is valued at $600 million from their last fundraising round. And so there’s been a lot of speculation about a potential Zora airdrop to reward early adopters.
To increase your chances of receiving the potential airdrop, it’s important to create an organic transaction history on Zora. Let’s take a closer look at what we can do on the network.
Guide
Add Zora Network to your wallet by Chainlist.
https://chainlist.org/?search=zora
Step 1 (Bridges):
Next, you’ll need to bridge over some assets to Zora. To do this, you can use any of the bridges below.
Official bridge:
Assets supported: $ETH
Network supported: Ethereum mainnet
Orbiter:
https://www.orbiter.finance/ (No token)
Assets supported: $ETH
Network supported: All Layer 2s
Step 2:
Saving on Transaction Fees
You can lower your transaction fee on Zora with these tips:
- Edit gas and choose “Advanced”
- Set a very low max base fee and priority fee like 0.015 gwei instead of using the estimate.
The transaction will still go through instantly regardless. You can reduce your transaction costs significantly this way if you interact frequently on Zora. ($0.85 to almost $0 in gas per transaction)
All of the protocols on Zora network involve interacting with NFTs in some way.
ZORA
The protocol which built the network itself. Suggest to just go for free mints there once a while. You’ll have to pay a protocol fee of 0.000777 ETH (~$1.2) per NFT.
You may also want to create your own NFTs by clicking the “+” icon in the top right corner of the Zora site.
mint.fun
A platform that enables you to mint NFTs across different platforms without any additional fees.
Minting a !fundrop pass allows you to accumulate points for each mint. These points might convert to an airdrop.
Holograph
Holograph have regular free NFT mints. Their NFTs are ONFTs (Omnichain NFTs). This means the NFTs can be bridged to other chains using LayerZero.
However, bridging from Zora is not yet enabled on Holograph. Right now you can take advantage of Holograph’s free mints on Zora to accumulate free NFTs and bridge for a potential LayerZero airdrop when they have enabled the bridging function.
And that’s all for Zora. Have fun hunting airdrops!
Bullish on Zora but think we have still a lot of time left before there will be an airdrop. Zora is still in its infancy with not too many projects having launched on it. $ZRO is much closer to dropping and bridging via Orbiter could qualify us for both $ZRO and Zora.
