Introduction

Pegasus Finance (Twitter : https://twitter.com/0xPegasusFi) is a AMM-style interest rate perpetual platform. Traders can take long and short positions on borrowing APY for lending platforms like Aave and Compound. They launched their testnet on Mar 9.

Rules

You can find Pegasus’s rewards programme “The Great Race” at https://dashboard.pegasusfinance.xyz/ on Optimism Mainnet. 

(Add Optimism Mainnet at https://chainlist.org/ if you don’t have the network.)

You’ll need to finish testnet tasks or social tasks daily to earn $Sealed Pega token. The goal is to accumulate 120 $Seal Pega Token to mint the PegaPal NFT for free. Here are some key information of the programme.

• 4 tasks a day

• Each task earns 1 $Sealed Pega Token

• $Sealed Pega is non-transferable between addresses

• PegaPal mint price is 120 $Sealed Pega Tokens

• First come first serve to mint

Once you have minted PegaPal, you can stake it to earn tradeable $PEGA or sell it (worth around 0.5 ETH).

Guide

The exact task you should be doing depends on the tasks available on https://dashboard.pegasusfinance.xyz/. This is just a general guide.

Getting Started:

Pegasus testnet is on Optimism Kovan. First go to https://faucet.paradigm.xyz/ and add Optimism Kovan to your Metamask.

Next sign in with your Twitter. Enter your address and claim the tokens.

(Your Twitter account must have at least 1 Tweet, 15 followers, and be older than 1 month to claim the tokens. If your account does not satisfy these requirements, ask at the Pegasus Discord.)

Step 1:

Head to https://trade.pegasusfinance.xyz/ and connect your wallet.

Step 2:

Now let’s make some trades.

We first long the AAVE USDC interest rate market. We long using 50x leverage with a size of 1 WETH.

We close part of our position.

Step 2:

Now we go to “Pool” to add liquidity. You are acting as a counter-party to traders by become a liquidity provider.

Input your amount and confirm.

Step 3:

The most important thing is to finish the daily tasks on https://dashboard.pegasusfinance.xyz/. Read the task description and do what is required.

For example, this task ask you to tweet about your trading gains/losses.
