TLDR: Mainnet, Minimum Deposit: 2000 $UST, Potential Airdrop
Introduction
Aperture (Twitter : https://twitter.com/ApertureFinance) creates one-click solutions to execute complex DeFi strategies. They are invested by Do Kwon, the co-founder of Terra.
Their flagship product Aperture+ is currently deploying a “Delta-neutral” strategy. “Delta-neutral” means that the portfolio’s value will not be affected by small to medium changes in prices of the related asset. With price volatility removed, the strategy will earn yield safely from both Anchor and Mirror. Read here to learn more about the “Delta-neutral ”strategy.
With their “delta-neutral” strategy, you can earn good yields on your stablecoins.
Rules
Aperture have launched their mainnet beta and signalled that they might reward early users. There are no official details about rewards however so nothing is confirmed.
Guide
Getting Started:
Aperture is on Terra Mainnet so get your Terra Station wallets ready. There is a minimum deposit of 2000 $UST on their Aperture Invest+ vaults. Make sure you have at least this amount on your wallet. Read here to understand why there is a minimum deposit.
For those who want to deposit a smaller amount, wait till their launch for pooled investment.
Step 1:
Go to https://app.aperture.finance/invest and you will be asked for a code. Enter “AP3RTUR3” and continue. (Update: Code no longer needed now.)
Step 2:
Connect your Terra station wallet and choose one of the pools to invest under “Aperture Invest+”. Every pool uses a different underlying mAsset for the strategy.
Step 3:
Input your investment amount, set your target collateral ratio and confirm. A lower collateral ratio is more risky but offers a higher APY.
In the default settings (270% Target Collateral Ratio), if the price of the underlying mAsset increases by more than 80% in a 5 minute period, the position will be liquidated. You wont be liquidated if the 80% increase happens in a period any longer than 5 minutes because bots will rebalance your portfolio every 5 minutes.
If you set a lower collateral ratio, the maximum price increase in a 5 minute period before getting liquidated will decrease accordingly.
Read here to understand the liquidation mechanism.
Step 4:
The full APY kicks in only after a month so you should be prepared to let the strategy run for a longer period of time. That’s it for the guide. Ask at Aperture Discord if you have any questions.
